Clint Vigil - Engineer and Programming Specialist
- Clint Vigil is a key Engineer and Programming Specialist at REMS AV, bringing over a decade of hands-on experience and a rare depth of technical expertise that spans every phase of the AV system lifecycle. His skill in complex programming and system design is crucial to delivering the reliable, high-performance solutions REMS AV is known for across West Texas.
- The Foundation of Expertise
- Clint's career is built on a strong academic base, holding a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University. His journey into AV integration began on the front lines in 2013 as an Audio Video Installer. This practical foundation quickly led to roles as an Audio Video Project Manager and then an Audio Video Engineer and Programmer during his nearly six years at Delcom Group.
- This progression—supported by certifications like the Certified Technology Specialist - Installation (CTS-I)—equipped him with a comprehensive, full-stack understanding of AV integration. His specializations are core to REMS AV's technical offering:
- • Control Programming: Expertise in industry standards, including AMX Programming, crucial for complex system automation.
- • System Design: Proficiency in Audio Visual System Design and technical drawing using AutoCAD.
- • Engineering Focus: Deep knowledge in PowerPC Assembly and advanced electronic principles, ensuring robust system reliability.
- The Harman Connection: A Shared Commitment to Quality
- A defining chapter in Clint’s professional life was his tenure as a Sales Engineer at HARMAN International (Oct 2018 - Apr 2020). It was during this time that he first collaborated extensively with REMS AV Founder, Ryan Saxton.
- Working together on critical projects, often involving the complex AMX and Schoolview platforms, Clint and Ryan discovered a shared, non-negotiable commitment to technical excellence and solving customer problems with precision engineering. They both operated with the belief that a system should not just be properly installed, but also perfectly programmed and seamlessly integrated.
- Rejoining Forces to Build REMS AV
- Following his time at Harman, Clint continued to diversify his experience, running his freelance firm Elevation Engineering and serving as an AV Field Engineer. When Ryan Saxton approached him with the vision and growth plans for REMS AV, Clint saw the opportunity to once again partner with a trusted colleague to build something exceptional.
- Clint formally joined REMS AV in July 2024, solidifying the technical core of the firm. He was drawn to the ability to control the entire customer experience—from initial engineering to the final line of code—a vision deeply shared by Ryan. Today, Clint leverages his specialized programming and engineering expertise to ensure that every REMS AV project achieves the highest standards of reliability and user-friendly automation.
