Ryan Saxton - Founder
- Ryan Saxton is the visionary Founder and driving force behind REMS AV, a full-service Audio-Visual (AV) company dedicated to servicing the greater West Texas area with unmatched expertise and customer-focused solutions.
- Ryan's deep roots in the AV industry began in 2007 at CCS Presentation Systems, where he gained foundational experience by participating in the early Schoolview integrations at Franklin High School and Reynolds Elementary. His career progression included a key role at APT Communications in Austin, where he specialized in AV integrations and Telecor intercom systems for K-12 schools, transitioning from an integrator role to estimating intercom systems.
- Innovating AV Technology
- In 2010, Ryan was recruited by Schoolview, where his expertise and expertise in system configuration and technical support were paramount. During this timeframe Ryan distinguished himself as an innovator by developing software tools to automate tedious, error-prone configuration tasks using XML files. He also created the Schoolview decrypt tool to secure configurations against tampering.
- This trajectory continued following the 2011 acquisition of Schoolview by AMX, where Ryan maintained his core responsibilities while expanding scope to include the development of additional automation tools while also providing crucial technical training for the end users of Schoolview systems.
- West Texas Expertise and REMS AV's Genesis.
- A significant turning point came at the end of 2013, when Ryan was brought to Lubbock to work on the largest Schoolview integration to date. Leading a small team, he successfully completed the massive integration of 24 Schoolview Bell & PA systems with RESQ across 24 campuses within three months.
- After this monumental project, Ryan broadened his skill set, working on diverse, high-profile design and programming projects utilizing AMX and BSS equipment, including:
- • Courtrooms
- • 4ore! Golf
- • Multi-million dollar residential homes
- • Emergency centers
- • Texas Tech's Sports Performance Complex and Systems Admin Office
- Forging a New Path
- In 2018, Ryan began working at Harman International who had previously acquired AMX, serving as the only sales engineer dedicated to K-12. Working closely with the sole K-12 salesperson, they achieved remarkable results, almost doubling K-12 volume within two years while establishing a network of relationships based on integrity and capability in full service AV solutions and integration.
- Ryan’s commitment to system consistency for key clients was so valued that he was asked to continue contracting for Midland County, a commitment that ultimately led to the formation of REMS AV. Ryan recognized a critical opportunity to differentiate the kind of service his clients needed if he had more control over the customer experience and the quality of the final product. Driven by this commitment to excellence and a desire to deliver a superior, full-service solution, he made the strategic decision to transform REMS AV into the full service integration company it is today.
